Inclusion Quality Mark
We are delighted to announce that Hayes Primary School have been awarded the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) following a two day assessment that took place just before half term.
This is a standard for assessing schools against a nationally recognised framework on inclusion. It contains eight elements, all practical parts of the life of a school, which deal with inclusion in its widest sense and in all aspects of school life.
The assessor’s reports praised ‘the very warm, positive ethos of the school’. In addition she stated that ‘teaching and support staff are very motivated and resourceful and work very well together to do their very best for all pupils.’ She enjoyed meeting with many members of the school and local community including pupils, parents and volunteers and greatly valued their input.
I would like to thank everyone who contributed in any way to the school being given this award. In particular, ‘thank you’ to Mrs Sanders, Miss Virtue and Miss Cole who have worked so hard with me over the past academic year as we gathered the evidence required to meet the IQM standard.
