Andrew Scriven

Director-Appointed Local Committee Member

I am married and am a father to three wonderful sons.  When my son started at Hayes Primary School, I knew I wanted to be closely involved with his education and make a contribution to the school he attended, and so the role of Local Committee Member was perfect to fulfil this wish.

My wife and I have lived locally to the school for 6 years and I myself attended Hayes Secondary School.

I have worked in the field of construction and also have held leadership roles in retail for many years. I have held my current position at the Royal Borough of Greenwich as Head of Procurement and Business Support for the Public Health and Wellbeing department for the last two years. This role has not only helped with my understanding of how local government is run but also has greatly increased my knowledge of all the wider determinants which affect our health. I have learnt how important it is to have the best start in life and how a school and the local community have a huge impact on our children’s lives.

It is a privilege to hold the role of Local Committee Member and to be able to be working alongside a committed team of colleagues, teachers, parents and pupils and I am hoping that I will be able to utilise my skills in project management, business and public health to the benefit of the school.  I am a member of the Finance and Resources Committee.

I look forward to being integral to my son’s education and making a positive contribution to both the school and the community in which my family and I live.
