The school is committed to improving on previous best performance and expectations of what pupils can do are high.

 

Succession planning is well thought out by the senior leadership team and teachers’ talents are immediately spotted and built upon, resulting in the school being able to draw upon in-house expertise to continue to raise standards.

 

The ‘connected curriculum’ provides opportunities for pupils to make links in learning with other subjects and this contributes positively to pupils’ outstanding engagement in learning. The curriculum is vibrant and exciting and is underpinned by a wide range of high quality texts, which hook pupils’ interest levels and help them develop a wide range of vocabulary that they use well in their writing.

 

School Improvement planning is well thought out and a clear structure of change management is put in place and evaluated regularly to see if it is impacting on standards. Any changes are introduced on a small scale to see that they are effective, and only then are they rolled out to the whole staff.

 

Teachers are given clear guidance on what they need to improve and by when this has to be accomplished. This has a very positive impact on staff morale because teachers know that they will be supported in their quest for excellence.
