Computing

Following a whole school improvement focus over two years from 2013, the school was awarded the Naace ICT Mark in October 2015. This award recognised the school’s strengths in the use of technology for teaching, learning, communication and school administration. Computing confidence is regarded by all school leaders as an integral part of the curriculum and an essential skill for all children in order to adequately prepare them for the next stage of their academic career and for the world of work.

 

The subject leader for computing is both passionate and knowledgeable and has a good understanding of the school’s computing strengths and areas for development. He is ably 8

 

supported by the computing team who have provided planning and assessment support for teaching staff alongside relevant CPD, which has resulted in teachers being empowered and confident in delivering the new curriculum expectations for computing.
