We are raising money to build a new Music & Arts Community Hub at Hayes Primary School!

A resource for our community

Hayes Primary School works closely with community groups including St Mary’s Church. Recent joint projects have included collecting for the Food Bank and the reverse advent calendar.

We would like the Music & Arts Community Hub to become a focus for our local community. This new space would be available for toddler groups, community choirs and tea/coffee afternoons. It is anticipated that The Spring Partnership Trust will be contributing £150,000 towards the cost of this project. Our PTA have already committed £20,000. However the school will need to raise upwards of £120,000 by July 2019. To this end, Mr Vitarana, Head Teacher at Hayes Primary, will be working with members of the school council and Hayes Music & Arts Community Hub working party to develop a fundraising strategy.

We will be contacting local businesses, charitable trusts and sponsors.

A resource for our children at Hayes Primary School

For a number of years music has been an area of strength at Hayes Primary School and as it continues to grow we are in need of more practice rooms for one-to-one lessons and more space for whole class lessons. The Hayes Music & Arts Community Hub would allow this to happen and would enable even more children to experience the joy that making music brings.

There are a great many opportunities already on offer at Hayes

The number of children learning an instrument and/or taking part in music groups has increased by 50% over the last 4 years. The current practice space is very small and is now inadequate with the expansion of music over the past few years and the school has simply outgrown it. Curriculum music lessons currently take place in classrooms. The provision of a new Music & Arts Community Hub will provide children with a designated area for learning music with specific resources set up for this subject.
