RISE Open Fortnight
London RISE Open Education Fortnight – Attendance Workshop
We are delighted and proud that Hayes Primary School has been selected to take part in the London RISE Open Education Fortnight, a pan-London initiative led by the Department for Education that brings schools together to share strong and effective practice.
What is London RISE?
RISE (Regional Improvement for Standards and Excellence) supports schools to improve outcomes for children by promoting collaboration, evidence-informed practice and professional learning. The Open Education Fortnight provides an opportunity for schools across London to visit one another, learn from proven approaches and strengthen practice in line with national priorities.
Our Focus: Attendance
Hayes Primary School has been selected to contribute to the Attendance priority area. We will be hosting an interactive workshop showcasing our whole-school, relational approach to sustaining high attendance. Our work is rooted in building a strong sense of belonging and mattering for every child, alongside supportive, proactive partnerships with families.
During the session, visiting schools will explore the systems, pastoral practices and family-centred approaches that underpin our attendance work, with practical examples and resources that can be adapted for use in other settings.
Who is this for?
This session is suitable for headteachers, senior leaders, attendance leads, pastoral teams and safeguarding or inclusion leads.
